The 2019-2020 school year is flying by and we are experiencing so many new things in education and life! We are all learning and stretching ourselves during this time of "social distancing" and "remote learning". We have learned about Google Classrooms, Flipgrid, and Screencastify. In addition, many have been introduced to and now regularly use Google Slides, Documents, and Sheets. Our elementary students know more about technology as a tool and not just a toy in the era of Fortnight!
This unheard-of time is allowing our students from kindergarten on to navigate the world of technology. While no one anticipated this whirlwind change to education, it has given us the opportunity to gain skills that may just be as valuable as the academic content being taught.
Our students, their families, and our staff are all connected through Zoom and Meet. Wait, what?? Most of us had not used or heard of either just a few months ago, but we are now using them regularly to stay connected with one another. Through trial and error, lots of errors, we continue to grow and learn. Our community continues to reach out and support one another.
I am so proud of our Knolls Vista Community! We are truly in this together and the adults are learning as much as the kids right now!
Thank you for sharing your child and this learning experience with us!
